Creativity Continues....

Here is the latest in my current work, they are my own adaptations of whats known as hand-coloured photographs. Back in the days before colour printing was invented, artists used to paint in the colour on photographs using various materials such as watercolour paint, acrylics and oils. So, to really get into the idea of how these perfected images were created of these immaculate women, I decided to have a go at creating my own. Firstly I printed some black and white photos onto watercolour paper and then coloured them using watercolour paints, simple yet really effective.
The colouring on these are very subtle and it was quite difficult to pick it up on the camera but, here they are....
